The package is called 'Overload!' because that is what it will do to your CPU. It is made up of device presets that can best be called DSP units. There are many types of filters and effects used in combinations that only severely warped minds can produce.
For example, using the preset 'Too Much SciFi' and a single note looping MIDI clip, I made the following just by moving the macro knobs a little:

You can hear from that example that these presets are not meant to be used in a set-and-go manner. That is, the presets are just starting points for sound journeys - you should definitely plan to seriously tweak the parameters.
The package includes a Live 7 and Live 8 installation - identical, except that the Live 8 version uses new features in some of the filter devices (such as re-pitch).
A document 'Effects.pdf' is included which describes the effects in general. You can
also read it here:

There is also a demo.als file with a simple demo.
If you are the type to just download and try out presets, you will probably be disappointed, but if you like to experiment and be creative I think you will be in heaven for at least a little while.
Some of the presets may not be useable for you, as they use a lot of CPU. In one example, using some serious slicing effects I got this on a MacBook Pro:
