Wanted to buy one anyway,to use both SL and Launchpad, nice surprise to get it for free.
All needed was to enter serial of my old SL 37 and of Launchpad (from the stickers at the bottom)
I am glad that Ableton hooked up with Novation, not only is the Launchpad the best product of the kind-in all aspects-price, build quality, design (very much in Ableton German Braun like concept- beauty through simplicity and functionality) but also good support fair business practices.
It is so opposite to Akai ugly, useless bulkiness- neither aesthetically neither practically justified, not to mention Akai greedy unfair pricing strategies (though for myself it makes not that much of a difference, but it does to people with smaller incomes and/or who cant put it off their taxes).
Thanks Novation and Ableton, congrats for great product and cooperation of the companies.
