keep macro mappings while importing new samples?

Post by Jekblad » Mon Dec 15, 2008 8:18 pm

is there a way to do this?

it takes awhile to re-map all that stuff, so my thought was to map a whole bunch a stuff for one set of samples and then use that as a shell for new racks, but i can't get it to work.

Copy value to siblings does not copy the macro settings either...

is there a way around all that manual mapping?

So what's in your rack? Sampler? Simpler?

I think you could just drag and drop samples into the sample container of either of those. Shouldn't affect your mappings.

There is no multi sample mode in Simpler itself. But of course a rack with Simplers could easily be a substitution.

Did you try drag & drop? Did you try the orange "recycle" icon in the sample view. That takes you straight to the browser and will let you select a new sample. Make sure you just import a new sample - not a new Simpler.

i'm looking to replace up to 90 samples per, so neither of these seem faster than just remapping some stuff.

Drag and drop works on to a drum rack, but it just replaces the simplers so you lose the mappings. You can't drop onto slots that have existing simplers.

Not the drum rack slot. The sample slot of the actual Simpler.

yeah that doesn't work either, as far as dropping in a whole bunch of samples.

Dragging in each new sample would work but takes just as long as mapping new parameters.

Make a new Simpler default with your mappings for your slice to midi rack folder?

hmmm not sure if i understand that one.

I'm not using the "Slice-to-midi" command at all... I know how to do the preset thing but it's have to be a preset for an instrument rack in-order to use the macro's right?
