Hey guys Im wondering if anyone has found a way to use both session and arrangement view at the same time, by having lets say arrangement view on my mac screen, then session view on an external tv. this way i wouldnt have to switch back and forth, and would also be able to utilize 2 screens. ideas?

LOVE my mpk49. Im surprised to see so many people who don't like it. Keys are great, the pads are great.. I dont use the faders and knobs as much as i could but thats mainly because i have the apc40 for that. great keyboard though.

Re-map your stop button so you dont accidentally hit it. Change it to a clip launch or something.

You'll have to load your samples into clips in session view and change your global quantization so that the clip will be triggered the way you want it. i.e. set the quantization lower than a bar, or dont set any quantization at all.

Id go to Lives preferences and make sure that your settings for MIDI in and out are set for both the 25 and the 61. It sounds like once you switched to the 25 then the preferences now only recognise that, but its an easy switch. Check that out.

smoother as in not as 'cloudy'? Yes a hi pass filter would work if you cut out the low ends of the hats. adding a soft reverb will smooth that out, too. It will give it some space. throw a utility plugin on some of the hats and phase it left or right and youre already adding some variety
