I played a 2h set saturday night. no crash, no problem.
Live was pushed to its "limits", with 132 audio tracks, 2.5Go of samples loaded, 178 scenes, effects and VSTs, and one m4l device.

8.1.3 is the more stable version at this time for me...

one solution is to make a separate max patch, and send data inside the device using udpsend/udpreceive.
in this case the background option works.

hi, when using the getinfo messages to a live.object, it returns all properties as being [name] [type] . the property type is being described has being "int", "bool", "float", etc... the problem is that almost every max objects understand "int" and "float...

i'm not able to reproduce the m4l crash at this time. i've tried the ";max crash" message to simulate it, but live is then able to reload m4l when clicking the edit button.

i get this kind of error in live when m4l has crashed (live is still responding) and i click the edit button of a m4l device.

after that, when i delete and recreate my m4l device, live crashes.
