since your overall latency is very low anyway, have you tried ditching direct monitoring, and monitoring everything through Live? alternatively, you could have a shadow track that you use for monitoring through Live (with monitor In/Auto), and a separate track that is recording with monitor Off. lat...

The deadmau5 master class was great BUT it's geared more toward the intermediate producer. I would recommend it to anyone, but just know you have to have a general knowledge of Ableton before taking his course.
