Re: Can I route MIDI on same track to record arpeggiator notes?
you could try this set up one track to house all your arps. basically create a midi effects rack. put different arps and midi effects in each chain then set up each chain so that they are on different zones then you will be able to use the chain selector to select which arp you want to use next crea...

Re: Help with audio files

Re: Recording without tempo, let Ableton calculate the BPM
if you have the clock stop looper will set the tempo based on the first loop. you don't even need to record an actual sound you could set up a dummy looper to set the tempo based on what you are playing. foot pedal helps for this but if you can 1 hand finger drum then you could use your other hand. ...

Re: How to record the MIDI output that results from external ins
you could also set the midi from to listen to the sequencer track here is a screen shot in the pic the first track is the "sequencer" i used an ARP, then the first track is routed to the second track which could have any instrument on it then the third track is set to listen to the first t...

place the sequencer plugging into a separate midi track and route the mid output of that mid track to the input of another mid track with your instrument loaded.

Re: Syncing Key as well as tempo?
that would be awesome and you may be able to work out some midi trickery using clyphx and routing midi to the other computer so you can trigger clips in it and automatically change the push.. not sure but either way clyphx is very much worth your time and it is free http://beatwise.proboards.com/thr...

Re: Help me pick an audio interface
in that price range Focusrite really shines in my opinion. i've been happy with my scarlet, its solid, and for me its nice to not have to bring my rack for every little gig. and it is currently handling system audio :) i'm sure i don't have to tell you to not get anything that starts with a B :) the...
