impulse mapping question

Post by squeakycheeker » Wed Nov 19, 2008 8:21 pm

i'm using a padkontrol with live - when using impulse i can only ever get seven of the eight slots to work -on scene 14 on the korg. all the other scenes even fewer. how do i map impulse to the padkontrol as it doesn't seem to an available option when you click on the midi mapping button - cheers

You need to make sure that the pads are sending the correct MIDI notes, for impulse, C3 will trigger the leftmost sample, and the other samples will follow suit in the octave from C3 to C4 (8 sample slots on Impulse).

So you just need to make sure that each pad is sending a note from C3 - C4.

By the sound of it, you just need to adjust the range of notes that each pad is playing, given that only 1 pad is not triggering the sample, you'll probably just need to shift the whole range up or down a note.

That or the pad is fukt...

hope this helps. peace

Map your pads to the midi notes mentioned below:
