PROducing House Music With Live: Drums - TA Video Tutorials!

Post by timothyallan » Fri Sep 18, 2009 11:06 pm

Ohhhh Ahhhhh!
Image
The first in my series of production tutorial videos is officially out today :)

This one focuses purely on drums and beats for house and other 4x4 styles. In this fantastic package you get not 1, not 2 but 19 in-depth Tutorials!!

How many minutes do you think you'd get in a package like this? 10, 20? Try 01h:48m:52s of runtime!! I won't be undersold!

It's suitable for all beginner to intermediate Ableton Live users and House beat producers in general.

Feedback would be fantastic so I can incorporate it into the next parts of the series.

Not only is Tim still humble enough to stay with the freaky misfits of this forum now that he's a superstar, but he's even willing to share his secrets with us all!

What a guy! :D

Now do yourselves a favour and buy his videos!

I bought it, it's cool.

The only thing not cool about it is the format. Strange htmlpage-with-flash-on-it, why not just actual movie files? (the ui of the flash video is rather terrible..).

and i put it on my home server, as i do with all movies, and when on a server, the movies can't be played.

so congrats to the actual content, it's very interesting stuff. but the way it's delivered, not that cool.. (but i guess that was not your task anyways, but the sites admins task, or so)

I bought it too. And i learned quite a lot from it.

My only complain is that the video is not sync to the audio. So at some points it is very annoying and you have to close your eyes to hear what he is talking about. It is impossible to hear it while you look the video because it will confuse you (it like mixing with high latency). But i guess that is a general Groove3 video/player issue.

Anyway, keep up the good work. I hope to see more from you. :)

It's cool and i recommend it, +you can actually convert the files to standard avi/mpeg files using VLC, so that then you can watch on any device.

Very well done, clear and informative for the "advanced beginner".

Ciao,

Vanni

yeah, the whole ghost notes stuff was completely not audible to me. i then made it myself in ableton and could hear it, but during the video, no chance :)

lets see if i can convert the movies to store them on my homeserver in a watchable form.
