mapping looper to a cc

Post by swishniak » Thu Mar 18, 2010 7:53 pm

greetings

i would like to map the main "pedal" button of looper to a pad of my trigger finger. i have programmed this particular pad to have no note, just a cc, since im playing synths at the same time..

i cant get this to function the same way that it has worked with a pedal in the past; first click record, second overdub, etc.

does anyone know what the cc settings are for sustain pedal (velocity; full / lock / off.. etc)? ive even tried setting this pad to the GM standard sustain setting (64) but it didnt work. any ideas? thanks.

i'm having similar problems with mapping a pedal, just posted in the other forum
http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php? ... 5#p1100595

the big pedal button simply doesn't do what it should.

has anyone solved this?

Looper works fine in 8.1.1 for me using my simple sustain pedal which sends cc64, midi mapped in Live to the Looper big button. Single click cycles record-overdub-play doubleclick stops.

As you can see from this midi trace it sends 64 / 127 for pedal down and 64/0 for pedal up (Live can invert this if you wish)
