I recently found a M4L Patch that allows you to control Reason instruments within Live, which you may or may not have seen already:
http://www.maxforlive.com/library/device.php?id=54
It works great, except I don't know all of the parameters the 100+ MIDI CC's correspond with. I literally had to figure out down CC 1 = amp env, CC 2 = etc.... Other than that, it felt really great finally being able to perform with the Reason instruments I've made over the years.
Ableton live with Reason rewire or Komplete 7
Re: Ableton live with Reason rewire or Komplete 7
This device is amazing - it's placed after the External Instrument Device and you can map 8 controls per device / instrument - All you need is the Reason or Record MIDI implementation charts found in your Reason / Record Documentation folder.jonno128 wrote:I recently found a M4L Patch that allows you to control Reason instruments within Live, which you may or may not have seen already:

I've saved one of these per reason device, instrument, combinator etc - Pretty sure you can do the same with Komplete instruments and your external hardware synths
Full Automation of Reason / Record from Live - AMAZING!!

Oh cool, I just checked the MIDI implementation charts and all the information is there. I feel silly for not having checked the Reason documentation to begin with; I didn't even know I still had it. There are so many fun things that you can do with these in instrument racks with other effects, it's ridiculous. Thanks for the info!fratts wrote:This device is amazing - it's placed after the External Instrument Device and you can map 8 controls per device / instrument - All you need is the Reason or Record MIDI implementation charts found in your Reason / Record Documentation folder.

Those MIDI charts are cool, endless fun - this made MAX Live purchase the most rewarding for me, for live performance it's a must!
