Foldable laptop stands suggestion please
Foldable laptop stands suggestion please
I use one from Quiklok but it is kind of bulky when folded. I am looking for notebook+controller,DJ booth type to maximise the limited space, elevate notebook for cooling but also to put SL37 or MPD 32 under it. I have 2 different full stage workstations, need table top solution.
There is Uberstand, the strongest candidate so far but seems like takes long to put together.

iFold looks quicker to set but i heard it is slippery so notebook is not to safe on it.

Any other suggestions?

can you fold it?ollyb303 wrote:http://www.amazon.com/Griffin-1093-CURV ... _e_title_0
I recently bought this one and might have to stop using it... when doing any sort of mashing on the same table this is on it has a tendency to let the laptop sort of slide forward...ollyb303 wrote:http://www.amazon.com/Griffin-1093-CURV ... _e_title_0
How do you get your laptop to stay put on top?
I was playing a show with a friend mashing a drum pad and the thing just kept sliding off.
I read something similar about the iFold, it is acrylic and slippery. Looks like Uberstand is the most solid.CHARLIE! wrote:I recently bought this one and might have to stop using it... when doing any sort of mashing on the same table this is on it has a tendency to let the laptop sort of slide forward...ollyb303 wrote:http://www.amazon.com/Griffin-1093-CURV ... _e_title_0

i can recommend the uberstand - pretty solid, folds away nicely, has enough height for cdjs/mixer to be used underneath and is really easy to fold out and secure. and you get a nice man bag to carry it in as well
only 2 niggles.. the soundcard insert is just loose and in the way, (i don't bother using it) and it's good to fix some extra rubber bands around the arms so your lappie doesn't scratch or slip.

Sort of. The "legs" detach from the acrylic bat at the front so it lies flat in a record bag, in 3 pieces.rikhyray wrote:can you fold it?ollyb303 wrote:http://www.amazon.com/Griffin-1093-CURV ... _e_title_0
Never had a problem with slippage.
Already checked it, shipping would be more then the stand, that is why NY, a friend can get me it but he is non musician so i must tell him exactly wherebeats me wrote:Another vote here for uberstand.
I don't know where you can get it in NY but you can get it on a place called the internet. You're on it right now.
