Not for playing, spend only a week in lisboa doing a sound engineering job for a VW event.

The gig at Zero here in prague was a blast they shure know how to party! I just got up and will hit town for pleasure, going back tomorrow...

Being asked to play in brno (also a czech town) so that was a good outcome :)

I can PM you for PR and demo material, portugal is a beautiful country... :)

OK, here is a little report.

it was the 2nd time for me in prague, last time is about 2 years ago... played at bukanyr, a boat on the danube.

friday was a blast i played in this wicked DJ bar called Zero in central prague... one of the very few places where there is something going on regarding musical quality, it's a basement spot with a good soundsystem and people where dancing all night long... and this place goes late... i played 2 sets one early for about one hour to get people in the groove then Lillou and Vik played for a bit, two fantastic local underground house DJs (one is doing the programming for Zero and she has also a residency in prague's roxy club)
continuing to build the vibe... then i played a blast of a set for about 3 1/2 - 4 hours and got waisted of my tits afterwards...
got asked to play in brno soon, another chzech town. :)

that was a hell lot of fun  , we then managed to sleep for a while and got up not to late for a very nice local food dinner and hitting town... jeez what a beautiful city, i mean i was there already, but i forgot how damn beautiful prague is, only drawback is that it is already and we do not have even the full season sooo... overfilled with tourists it's unbelievable... you really have a hard time passing central prague... but however it's worth it.

the saturday evening we went to radost FX a cool night spot / club... they have a bar and reastaurant above the club where you can get real decent vegetarian food all night long, cool!!

and afterwards to a for prague terms new club (since about 3 years, radost and roxy, mecca (a posh place) are around since ages)

called the cross OH MY GOD! a freaked out guy who has designed the entire place with kinetik art is running it! the whole place looks and feels like a spaceship from a 1050s movie "ubercool" and it has two rooms of music, several bars and a gallery / general art space... the two rooms are equipped with a killer Meyer Soundsystem which blast's your head off, yummy.

we saw shackleton and appleblim... even dubstep, etc. is not my fave cup of tea it was great, the soundsystem helped a lot to enjoy the music :D , the second room was however even better, some local guys played with ableton a mix out of live and DJ-ing some serious dirty breaks and underground hip hop and had a programming full of surprises and rocked some music and sounds i never heard
before, we got stuck in that room dancing, dancing, dancing...

sunday i was pretty destroyed, went again for a nice meal and into some cool coffee shops and bars until the way home...

for shure i can say whoever has the possibility of visiting this city... GO!!! but be aware of the trillion other tourists, you amazing enough still can escape in prague, if you look properly.

the nightlife is somehow, not that big, unless you are into commercial discos drinking and scoring girls, there is only roxy, radost fx, the cross - the best one i reckon, but mainly DnB, breaks, reggae, hi hop, etc. no house music, and zero... the boat bukanyr is pretty much dead our days.

the rest are commercial posh places.

still go, and if it's only for the woman, beer, the beauty of the place itself and good local food.

And if you have some time jumping around eastern europe, Budapest is absolutely fab, too.
I was only once for a week and want to go desperately back!

Also a little mention on the side, funny is that the club scene is not majorly big around eastern europe, but they have a hell lot of really talented DJs and foremost producers! and Live is very popular i discovered, wondering that not many eastern europeans are on the forum, guess they rather spending time producing instead of spending time here LOL.

Hi Rave,

yo! easy,
man in Prague are thousands of americans and english people living, plus as i mentioned i have never been in a place with that much tourism... pretty much evrybody can speak english, if you just try to use a few words sentences you gain straight sympathy, i mean i do speak a bit of slovak, which is similar to chzech and people would usually answer me back in english or even german (loads of german speakers over there, too) once they hear my accent, same applies for Budapest.

just behave like a normal human being with a healthy amount of respect in general, not like the 100.000nds of the ugly kind of tourists, behaving like twats and you will be fine... but i guess you know that.

have fun. they are both beautiful places...
