Like the earlier post said its a Moog Polymoog Synthesizer. If its an early one it'll say Polymoog Keyboard on it, which I think it does but its hard to tell for sure on that photo. These are not to be confused with the later 'Polymoog Keyboard' which was a preset version of the more flexible 'Polymoog Synthesizer'.

Its a very heavy instrument, lead weights inserted under every key, so it'll have to have some strong supports behind it to hold it vertical like that.

Current prices for broken Polymoogs are around 500GBP or more. Which is probably quite crazy because it costs a lot of money and time to fix one of these things up. A few years ago they weren't worth much. I bought one for 40GBP... and sold it mostly working for 200GBP.

It is said that there are no fully working Polymoogs in existence. That's probably an exaggeration but its pretty well known its not a reliable instrument.

It's a pirate captain's hat with a Jolly Roger on the front.

congrats....you gave the answer i was expecting ;)

The instrument itself, i believe, is just for show and is hung vertically on the front of the DJ booth...having not been to it's location myself i was relying on the picture to fathom it out abit more but i've been in contact with the chap DJing there and I'm awaiting an answer on it's condition etc...

Thanks for clearing it up Synthbuilder & Longjohns
