Despite how it looks, Renoise has the advantage of having a very simple and fast workflow. It's quicker to put something together than any other software out there without even needing a midi controller due to the whole thing built around shortcuts on a computer keyboard. And it can do things that only trackers can do, like the effects columns. I love the zen-like simplicity and efficiency.
