I've had nothing but problems with M-Audio fast track interfaces. I'm not sure if it's the drivers or what, but I get a much better performance running Live with no interface plugged in , using ASIO4ALL , than with my fast track pro plugged in. The fast track/fast track pro gives me all kinds of glitching and jitter when too much is going on, and I don't get that without it.
I'm using a Lenovo thinkpad edge laptop, running windows 7 64 bit, and Live 8. Can anyone with a similar setup reccomend an affordable interface that would work well with my setup, or offer any other advice ?

I had nothing but problems a year or so ago with a fast track pro
i think it was something to do with the irq usb bus but not too sure
anyway i ended up getting a Tc electronic 24d of sound on sound
never had a problem since
