I pre-ordered a Minitaur a few weeks ago, the Arturia (and Waldorf Pulse 2) was a total surprise. Only 25 keys and one VCO---meh, not for me.

The Arturia looks better in term of possibilities, while the Moog is very basic (yet it probably sounds much better). I'd recommand the Little/Slim Phatty. It's not that much more expensive and will give you a great sound

They have their own distinct sound. But for me, I'll go with the Minibrute. There's just a lot of possibilities with it. Already played with a lot of moogs already, I only like their filters. Which you can buy separately.
Equipments: Softwares, hardwares, plastics and metal controllers, computers, headphones, a pair monitor speaker, and electricity to power them up.

+1 for the MiniBrute;however, you know they're both gonna sell well, in which case they will both probably update each other. You know there's gonna be a Mintaur Keyboard and a MiniBrute rackmount.

Yeah lots of small analog synths right now:

- Moog Minitaur
- DSI Mopho
- Arturia MiniBrute
- Waldorf Pulse 2
- Vermona Mono Lancet

Pulse 2 has my attention atm, specs are amazing:
- 3 analog oscillators + 1 noise generator
- Pulse width modulation
- Hard sync
- Filter FM from Oscillator 3
- Ring Modulation from Oscillator 3
- XOR Osc Mode
- 8/4 Voice Paraphonic modes
- Cascade Filter
- 24dB/12db Lowpass, 12db Highpass/Bandpass filter modes
- Powerful Arpeggiator
- ...
