It looks cool nebulae, good work.... when you say you can skin Sylenth1 how far can you go? (Completely new interface or just different colours)

Very nice, the original's a bit dull. I've recently acquired the Sylenth1, one of the best sounding softies I've heard.
..?

Argh, you're not wrong! Just made the mistake of giving the demo a go. Fantastic fuckin filters. Damn, why did i have to go and download that!

Martyn...welcome to Sylenth :) This is the main reason I don't get other synths (like the Abe's AAS addons or Zebra)...because this one fits the bill so nicely...

As for the skin, here's what to do:

- If you're on Mac, you can edit the image files by going into the install folder.

On PC:
1. Download a resource editor. I got PE Explorer, which is free for 30 days.
2. Make a copy of the Sylenth1.dll file.
3. Open that file in the editor, and view resources.

There, you will see all the PNG image files, which you can export out and edit, and then import back. Then save the DLL, and put it back in your VSTFolders directory to view your changes.

So long as you keep the same positions of knobs and sliders, you can edit the whole damn thing...having just done that for Z3ta, I didn't want to mess with that level of detail, so I simply changed the hues. The three files you'd need to change to get to my skin are here:
http://www.nebulae.com/collect/sylenth_jp.zip - I won't add the modified DLL as that would violate the license.

Happy hacking, everyone :)

It definitely can't do the things that Tension and Electric can do but it really does make analog look a bit ill. To be honest I bought the suite because I didn't have Operator and Sampler, the AAS synths were just the icing.

^ agreed...I would have as well had I not already bought Operator and Sampler previously. Also agreed that it can't do what Tension and Electric do...but for VA, it's prolly the best out there right now

Exactly how I feel. I've not been blown away by a software product like this in a long time. I haven't splashed out yet but I don't know how long I'll be able to live without it for

I have updated my skin to remove the wood paneling and have it be even closer to my beloved JP8080 :)

It looks too trancey.

Kidding, of course. Color scheme for the JP skin looks ace. I feel like I have twins now. Now of only Sylenth1 had a supersaw...
