My name is Jan Pienkowski and I am techno/tek-house based DJ/Live PA/Producer from Montreal, Canada.
I run my record label - (ONO Records) and work at the (Society for Arts and Technology (SAT)) on various projects, which include producing events (MixSessions), various residencies (ARM, SWIM), research (PropulsArt, Cyclo, SATosphere) as well as training courses (Ableton Live, Audio Production, Djing). I have been chosen by the (British Council) to begin the development of an International Cultural Project as part of the pilot year of the (Cultural Leadership International (CLI)) initiative. The program aims to develop a large-scale international network of cultural and arts leaders, who through their combined passion and drive, will be influential in shaping an open, tolerant and integrated society.
My aim is to establish a growing network of individuals from all over the world and all sorts of disciplines to see how we can help each other - whether by working together on various projects, by providing appropriate contacts for people who need them or facilitating exchanges between different countries.
At the end of August, I am going on a five week tour (Warsaw, Gdansk, Krakow, Berlin, Barcelona, Madrid) with the aim of meeting and exchanging with local artists, art centres, clubs, promoters, festivals, etc.
To perhaps play together when I am there (I like to have fun, so anything goes
) and/or talk and exchange ideas, maybe see how we can collaborate on future projects, see how we can establish future exchanges between our respective cities, etc. Basically to start a network of our own which will benefit from the more vast CLI network and vice-versa.Here is my schedule so far (arrival dates):

I will also be accompanied by a VJ - Pink Rubber Lady (http://www.pinkrubberlady.com) with whom I often perform and work on many projects. She will, of course, also be very interesting in meeting with anyone and she will have a projector with her - just in case we have any impromptu jams
