Can I exclude tracks from scene launch?
I'm using the APC40, and I want 4 tracks to be "fixed", meaning one button = one clip slot, and four tracks to function normally. This is easy enough, just mapping each matrix button to a slot, but i don't want those clips to launch when fire a scene.
suggestions?

Have you got max4live? You can't do it without it.... A scene is a scene at the end of the day...
Alternatively have the (i assume) 4 x 4 grid on scenes 1 to 4 and don't have any other clips in the first four tracks, then remove all the stop buttons below you 4 x 4 grid of clips.....

Re: Can I exclude tracks from scene launch?
Hi Klaus, Sorry my bad!!
In Isotonik theres a bpatcher that observes the red box, you'd need to use it to find where the top left corner is located scene wise and work the triggers from that, depending on how many tracks you've got depends on how big a project, it would be a matter of creating live.objects for every track in focus and having these update each time you move the redbox, i couldn't guess at how this would impact cpu though it may be prohibitive....
I was considering building it in on Isotonik to ignore the launching of the dummy clips but it was too big a mountain for me at the time....
Cheers

Re: Can I exclude tracks from scene launch?
Hmm, looks like a big task. Besides, I'm using an ipad to trigger clips and scenes, so that might complicate things further. I'll try the +4 track workaround, just hope it doesn't fuck up device assignments.
Thanks for your help.

Re: Can I exclude tracks from scene launch?
I think you could just use the "remove stop button" function on the clip slots that you don't want to launch with the scene.
Edit:
No I'm wrong. It will still launch a clip in that slot.

Damn, I was hoping there was a work around for this. I'm trying to launch scenes but without launching dummy clips...
