Automap controls not recording automation in Live 8.0.1

I have a Novation Nocturn to control plug-ins and Live is not recording tweaks. Version 7 worked like a charm.. Any ideas what could be wrong?

I have the same problem with my Korg MicroKontrol - can't record automapped parameters in Live 8.0.1

Same problem here with the Novation Remote SL25. This recording of plug-in automation via automap works perfectly in Cubase 5 BTW.

i agree. recording of parameter-automation with nocturn in live 8 doesn't work. no problems in live 7.

Anybody from Ableton here to confirm this. Are we doing something wrong, or is this a bug?

yeah this is a real bummer. its kind of holding me back right now.

I also noticed some weird behavior with sending midi cc values.

I have a one bar midi clip where i draw in the automation for lets say cc 50 and set the value to 95 for a bar. This then doesn't send the value, however if i set that value to start at 95 and go to say 96 then it will send. This is with the same mapping as well. weird huh?

I think I have similar issue - did any of you notice that your VST's were available in the clip drop downs?

I upgraded to 8.02 before I figured this out. Make sure that the Port 2 is enabled in your MIDI preferences in the remote section for the Novation.
Then, in plug-in Ableton GUI, press Configure. Anytime you spin a knob, a new parameter knob will show up on the Ableton GUI and be properly recorded. I'm checking into Looselip's issue later for clip drop-down availability.

It's a real shame about this configure button. It's done nothing but add another step into the process in my opinion. It's an extra thing I have to do which didn't exist in Live 7.

I am also in the middle of new partitioned install of XP to see if it's the residual elements of Live 7 causing the issue. You know what it's like with PC's. You never get a clean uninstall.

I'll report back as to whether its an upgrade thing from 7 to 8 or whether the issue exists on a clean install too.
