[5505] MPD 32 transport buttons don't work in 8.02.
I still have 8.01 and 7.0.14 loaded on my pc, and the MPD 32's transport buttons still work in them.
Can anyone confirm this?
Weird thing is, if I set control surface to MPD 24, the transports work, but the faders don't.

Hi,
I will double check this as soon as i am home again, right now i just started my day@Work and reckoginzed the Update. Would be extremely annoying if the MPD 32 won`t work. You got the newest Firmware 1.03 installed? I realized it is still not available at the German-Akai Site. It already takes em 2 Month to keep up to date with their own Update
At least i keep 8.01 installed.
Cheers n till L8tah

Yes. I do have the latest firmware installed, and just to clarify here's the situation:
I have Live 7.0.14 still installed on my pc, and the MPD 32's transports still work.
I also have Live 8.01 installed on my pc, and the MPD's transports work.
8.02 = FAIL!

Hi All,
Confirming the issues. Transport bar does not work in 8.02. Running latest firmware (1.03). The MPD32 works fine under 7.0.16. I tried to replace the MPD32 Midi Remote Script for v8.0.2 with a working v7.0.16 but didnt work. Maybe kb420, you could replace the Midi Remot Script with the 8.0.1 version? I dont have 8.0.1 installed.. so cant try that.

Lucky Abes, i wonder what might have happened if the APC 40 did already ship. I guess those transport Buttons won`t work right now
Maybe kb420 did already test it?
Since i am still not at my Music PC, can you tell me where to find the MPD 32 Midi Remote Script, is it an easy find? I will try that later, since a new Bugfix might take a moment to arrive.jtsaint wrote:The MPD32 works fine under 7.0.16. hi there magestro,
Im on Mac, you will find them by opening the package contents of the Live Application Contents/App-Resources/MIDI Remote Scripts/MPD32.
If you are on Windows, I guess you'll find them someplace in your C:/Program Files/Ableton Directory.
Im not too sure that it will help you though, Iv seen many ppl saying that there midi hardware doesnt work with v8.0.2, so it might be a more serious problem than just the MIDI Remote Scripts....

I actually did that before I even started this thread. I tried replacing the script with 8.0.1, and 7.0.14. It didn't change anything. The transport still didn't work.
FAIL.
I think I'll participate in beta testing for Live 9.

Re: MPD 32 transport buttons don't work in 8.02.
My Akai Mpk 49 transport controls also stopped working with the latest patch. The rest of it works and it works in all the other versions of ableton just not the latest patch. I have latest firmware and reset everything in ableton for the transport. Nothing. I even tried changing the transport commands to midi, mmc and back to ctrl and still nothing. On a good note live 8.02 doesn't seem to crash as much, but this new version of live is getting silly.

So now what?
I didn't submit anything to tech support. Should I, or do the Abes check the forums enough to know when users are confirmiong bugs?

Re: MPD 32 transport buttons don't work in 8.02.
was thinking the same.... since no ableton staff has joined this thread, maybe a little mail to support would be good. who feels up to it? Anyone knows if the ACP40 have the same problems? (or MPD24, MPD16)?

After that last post, I sent an email to tech support. I told them what happened and sent a link to this thread.
