Ok, I am COMPLETELY new to Ableton Live (I used to use Reason) and I am trying to configure my M-Audio Keystation 49e Midi Keyboard. I attempted to set it up. Here is a screenshot of my configuration of both the Midi sync and the Audio tab:
BUT! Every time I press a key, the note is delayed, giving me a very choppy sounding piano. Why are my notes delayed?
Also, in the audio tab, where it says "Driver Type" it says MME/DirectX. Thats not my audio driver... my audio driver is Realtek High Definition audio...
Please help me with my two problems!
Need help setting up my midi controller!
Re: Need help setting up my midi controller!
first things first!
get ASIO4ALL http://www.asio4all.com/or an better audio-device
look at your latency its nearly 100 ms
mme/directX is the type of your current REALTEK thing
with asio4all you should be able to choose ASIO
then to midi choose your USB Device under Control Surface
and activate also sync & remote = have fun

Re: Need help setting up my midi controller!
Yes I tried installing ASIO but when it was all installed the ASIO option in the dropdown box didnt show up. Do I replace my Realtek with ASIO?
Re: Need help setting up my midi controller!
I don't know what to with the ASIO... Do I copy a dll somewhere?
