I just ran a test with 8.0.8 with my Beat Looker rack, which alternates record and playback of two Loopers each bar, with a 3rd Looper that only runs for the first 2 bars of playback.
The set runs normally for a while, playing back, stopping and saving at random times. Activity Monitor shows Live real memory use hovering around 396 MB, until the bug shows up, when it suddenly jumps to 434 MB the moment you save, which is when the "Not enough memory" dialog shows up. Live's real memory use doesn't go down after, and it doesn't allow saving until I force quit.
Here's the set I used for testing, including instructions on how to set the MIDI feedback loop to control the Loopers. I've also removed the audio samples.

My computer is an early 2008 15" 2.4GHz Macbook Pro with 2GB RAM.
Hope this is helpful in finally getting rid of this bug.

Same here, would love to use the beatlookup rack as the rewind is wicked when controlled with the joystcik on my microKontrol!
So far though no one at ableton has even admitted there is a fault!
Cheers
