Hi,
somewhere in my setup there is a bug that Transposes midi notes down a 4th.
It happens randomly and i can't reproduce this, so i'm not sure what exactly is happening... but this has definitely happened to me twice. Once during a gig, and secondly during a pre-record for a live video session... yes... this big knows how to pick good times to do it's thing.
so I am using a Alesis Micron sometimes as a MIDI controller for Live instruments, and sometimes for it's own audio sounds.
it is plugged into a Motu Traveler both via midi and audio.
i'm running live 6.07 and OSX.4.9 on a core2duo MBP.
I have all the virtual instruments in one big rack, and it is all automated to change instrument patches dependent on what track is being played. Some of these instrument racks have pitch midi modules on them, but only as either +12 or -12 to get the octave right.
so... yes... i can't reproduce this... both times it has happened have been at rather difficult times to do any 'de-bugging' so i've come up with quick solutions like changing the Midi pitch module so it is actually playing the 'wrong' note... but it is in reality the right pitch.
this is a bizzare bug, and i don't know where it is happening, but i'm wondering if anyone else has come across this?
cheers,
:)M

strange midi octave shift
i have also noticed that sometimes my recorded midi music is suddenly shifted down an octave. it will happen sometimes right after recording a new part. i have a feeling this has to do with something on my midi controller (M-AUDIO radium 49) and it's octave shifter. the problem usually corrects itself. BUT can anyone explain what is going on and how to fix it with restarting my computer a few times?
THANKS, kevin
