complex pro cuts out with tempo at 20BPM

I have global tempo mapped to a knob on my controller and I am playing about with complex pro on a full length track while slowing the tempo down to 20BPM

sometimes it just cuts out completely and audio stops - I have to press stop then play again

one time I heard sound breaking up like CPU overload sound, then the sound was the same for all clips and I had to reboot live to get it back to normal

EDIT: in fact I'm now finding it's pretty consistent - if I set tempo to 20BPM then hit play it just plays the first beat then audio cuts off for the clip - it does it with every value below 30

happened again- this time speeding the global tempo up made it break up - again like buffer overload
