i searched like crazy, and i still can't believe that this basic function doesn't exist in LIVE.

a simple keyboard command could do.

@chicken, I see in the link you posted the serious ableton fanboys have been giving you a hard time trying to pretend not to understand/ see the need for our request....not cool heheh.

this board is overloaded with "producer" newbees.
they started with live, and they will end with live, happiely.
they get fast and easy results with some playing around.
they don't want to care about basic work.
they like it to be done automatically by LIVE.
they don't know the need and the meaning of some basic things.
they are blinded by quick results.
they don't ask for the things in the background that only sound-enthusiast understand.
they have fun and they are LIVE fans.
i can understand !

i'm a fan of abletons idea and interface, too !
what a pity ableton doesn't care much for a proper basic-standard.

I'm sure they will integrade these features anytime ...

If he means anytime soon, I'm not so sure i share his optimism, judging by some of the responses this seems to get.
