disable record modifier key

Post by forge » Thu Aug 19, 2004 2:15 am

I think I've mentioned this before but I just feature wished for it again

I would like to be able to hold alt or ctrl or whatever while recording and temporarily disable record - so If you're recording automation and you suddenly realise the overall track level is too high but don't want to automate it you can hold the modifier and make the change then let go to continue recording - kind of 'record bypass'

If you stop recording and you were recording alot of loops into the arrange you lose the position and have to start again

So you mean you want to lower the overall level for the whole track but if you lowere it while recording theres going to be an automation where it goes from high to low.. if I'm understanding you correctly then I'm entirely with you..

yep - and that's just volume - add dozens of other controls and it very quickly gets out of hand
