Alt + Click on waveform to audition slice

I have made others aware of my need for this, but i have a suggestion. And i dont see how it could not be implemented with complete ease. (btw i am no programmer)

We have the speaker icon for playing the clip. It plays the whole clip. Why cant we have it just playing the slice?

To make things easier I suggest using ALT as a modifier to tell it to play the the currently focused transient/marker/slice when auditioning clips in waveform view. This way no prior functionality is altered.

If this is hard to implement i would like to know why.....It would not impede workflow for basic users, and would allow guys like me to truly hear what they are slicing before committing it to midi.
