1. launchpad and apc are making it clear we need button options. as with knobs/sliders that have the options that pop up at the bottom of the screen (relative, absolute, etc), when assigning buttons we need options for toggle or momentary.
2. not sure if this is possible... when making custom midi assignments, live generates led feedback appropriate to the assignments, identical to those of the built in modes. e.g. assigning a row of buttons to volume results in the row being green leds reflecting volume setting.
momentary mode for our new button controllers + led feedback
Re: momentary mode for our new button controllers + led feedback
adding another one.
3. a mode editor would be helpful. i've found a few more shortcomings that could be easily overcome (a la farmpad for the padkontrol), and full access to customization including led feedback would be excellent. i'm sure this will be possible with max for live, but something external would be a good addition.

+1
Especially for adding a momentary option.

a editor for the ableton api would be nice to change the controller template. max4live is too big for use this feature only.
liveapi4free would be nicer.

i would love more midimap options (and maybe even midimap for output for the lights?).
being able to select between toggle and ordinary button would be one thing, applying curves (or polylines) to knobs another one..
and yes, this should be app integrated and not max4live based.

i just heard from ableton support: an independent editor is not planned and apparently infeasible due to the lp being a co-developed product. sad face.
