I only want to free up some space in the GUI, nothing to do with their functionality. I still want all Returns to function as individual Return tracks just as they normally do.
I use 12 Returns, but only need to see (have expanded to normal size) 4. The remaining 8 never need to be adjusted in any way & are just taking up space. They are used only as busses to send audio out to speakers, not for any signal processing.

Why don't you just create separate audio/midi tracks for your buses instead of returns?
