add automation point, double click alters value

It's really a major problem since a long long time.

problem: when you add an automation point via double click (mouse) the current value is often shifted a bit.

example: volume is 0db and you add a point, the point is 0.7 db

- create an automation lane for the value parameter from a utily plugin
- double click on the lane to create an automation point

reason:-> if your mouse cursor is a bit below or above the automation lane however the colour indicates it's selected you get a small value shift.



wish: implement something to prevent this , a short "when mouse click, wait if there is a second one - if so don't shift the value back" or a small dead zone. it's so cumbersome to correct 50% of the added automation points.

indeed it's a shame to use ctrl+mouse clic everytime to undo the weird behavior when we add points to automation.
