I have suggested to you before about maybe having a modifier like holding control to momentarily bypass recording automation so that you can make an adjustment to a parameter without it recording but still record the sequence (of course my other suggestions of having seperate buttons for record sequence and automation would make this redundant)
I was just thinking actually it might be even better if you could just use right click - so if you change a fader with the right mouse button it doesnt record

What about for those of us who seldomly use the mouse to change parameters. Control surfaces baby!
Some sort of midi assignable toggle would work for me.

true - I'm actually getting more into the idea of having 2 seperate record buttons - for automation & sequence, in which case one each of the F keys or something would do it - also midi asignable..

maybe an "unrecord automation" toggle would work - leaving automation recordable by default and selectable just in case
