Improvements

Bugfixes

Automatic package installation would not work properly [6024]

Files on a SMB based network volume could not be renamed within the browser.[6033]

The Spectrum device would not show a spectrum for very short signals [5940]

Under certain conditions, pasting in the arranger could crash Live.

Freeze would not work properly on tracks with removed 'stop' buttons. [6070]

When an arrangement clip starts in the middle of a very shallow track volume ramp, the volume at the clip start could be too loud.[6005]

In a particular Live set, a clip fade would lead to a click in the audio signal.[5973]

Under certain circumstances, the name shown in the title bar of devices would not be restored on undo/redo.

Undo the creating of a breakpoint for Sampler's filter On/Off switch could crash Live [6083]




Specific Max related changes from 8.1b7 to 8.1b8

Improvements

Avoid the 'giant text' that would appear for a brief moment when you delete a Max device.

Added 'Open Max Console Window' to Max device title context menu. Improved error display.

Give visual feedback in edit button while Max editor is starting.

Improved Timing of MIDI messages generated inside of Max devices (like the StepSeq.)


Bugfixes

'Manage device' for a MAX device would crash Live. [5903]

Saving edited Max devices would not work when closing Live sets.
