Hi guys.
I just managed to install and make work Touchable over ad-hoc on win7, and APC20 together. Now, maybe I am dim, but it took me some time, so I thought I'd share the how to, in case you are struggling. The guide on TouchAble site works almost fine, except for that when creating the ad-hoc, I had to use WEP and not WPA2.
The rest of it was just as the guide said.
Remember to switch off firewall on pc, and Bluetooth on iPad. I also told my pc to stop nagging about net profile (and clicked home network or whatever it's called, not sure this is necessary, or indeed what it really does)
In ableton, I switched touchable Track and Remote on input channel 1 and 2 ... The APC I had already installed earlier.
However to use it simultaneously with the APC I had to do the following "launch sequence"
1. Boot the computer
2. Switch on the ad-hoc network and connect the iPad to it (the network is stored both on pc and iPad) this takes a few seconds
3. Run the TouchableServer
4. Switch on the APC
5. Run ableton, and just check that you have connection with the APC
6. Run TouchAble on your iPad and click connect (according to instructions on touchable website)
That was it for me. Have red square for APC and orange for touchable, no lag that I can see, no crashes yet and all functions seems to work fine.
Hope this could help someone, although it seems quite obvious in retrospect.
Much love
