nah this fuckup is on apple's part. Leopard blows chode, ever since i upgraded its screwed up everything on my computer. here's the solution i found and it works

1.)open up Terminal in the Utilities (MAc OSX only, specifically Leopard)
2.) type in the following command exactly:

sudo rm -rf /Library/Audio/MIDI\ Drivers/*

3.) it'lll say this may make the system unstable please enter administrator password. do that, hit enter, exit terminal and its good to go. hope this helps, i almost broke my laptop lol.

the website i got it from: http://jnote.org/29

yea, this time it's on apple's end.....

worst comes to worst get a usb to midi port and ac adapter that shit and you should be fine.

Did you know that the mpd24/32 have the same pads and pad sensors as the 2500/5000?

proof is right here

honestly sounds like the driver and not the os

you could do the same thing as your rm -rf by simply browsing to the files in finder and trashing them with the devices disconnected.. there is nothing extra in that folder that * will get you..

$ pwd
/Library/Audio/MIDI Drivers
$ ls -al

Don't know what Mac you use but the MPD is only good on left hand ports of the Macbook Pro.

As far as I know the right hand port on the mac Book pro is not a powered USB port. Some devices struggle on it.
