Figure out and enjoy. Bug reports welcome. This might become part of the official distribution...

This is cool. I did something similar using the Live.step object with my Lemur. The Lemur has 4 16xmultisliders... One for Velocity, Duration, octave, and note. I also added a range object connected to the loop length in order to do the two finger pinch range thing.... I am still working on it. I definitely like your patch too. I may take some ideas from it.

Thanks for the patch...

Mike

"PX-18" is a step sequencer application, written in MAX by Robert Henke and Gerhard Behles, 1992 - 1999."

Ten years after!

Excellent - thanks for sharing this code.

You might want to set up your parameter mappings for automation?? (Or hide them...)

Let the monolake tributes begin.

Thanks... I got to get back to it... I am doing some hardware reviews for my site right now. I got a Launchpad sent to me on Friday and I have a Livid Instuments Ohm 64 coming on Monday. In addition to the typical detailed review, I am also creating some patches on each of these devices in M4L to illustrate some of the integration possibilities. A Lot going on at max4live.info world thanks to the great world created by Ableton and Cycling74. :-)

This is great. I love the swing setting per step.

Wishes:
- MIDI Thru
- global delay control

I personally would present the base pitch, time and a global delay as a 17th column.

I've added the global delay in this variation just to try: http://downloads.extendlive.com/ml-px-18_MOD.amxd.zip

It would also be great to utilize this guy for controlling Live parameters, so instead of Velocity it sends values to a selected parameter of Live devices or clips.

It would also be great to have the clock setting stored with the pattern :-)

Hi Daniel,
i will think of your wishes - chances are good i'll going to implement them.

Anyway here comes a newer version: 1.1.0

http://www.monolake.de/technology/m4l_d ... 8.amxd.zip

Improvements:
- lots of GUI enhancements ( well commented inside patch )
- new 'Transpose' mode: incoming note pitch and velocity added to result.
- updated help file.

have fun,
Robert
