Groove templates applied to delays

Post by timothyallan » Mon Jan 25, 2010 4:10 am

Got a plucky riff that has a groove applied to it, fed to a delay. On the notes that have been pushed back/forward a tad, the delay flams of course. Other than rendering the delay to audio and warping, or waiting till Live 14 to get groove template delays, are there any other tricky things I could try?

Have you tried a millisecond equivalent? I'm guessing you're using a tempo locked delay?

there's no real solution other than using un-synched delay times..
or playing around with the the sync % ...
you could play a bit with clip envelopes for sync % (with 'fade' mode on)..
to try and force the delay to follow the groove
there's no delay out there that has 'groove' support
(as no vst delay will ever have 'live groove' support me thinks)
..so ...might be a feature to consider for L9
maybe could be done with an m4l patch ?!
