A bit of help with NI's Massive VST needed

Post by CtrlC » Sun Jan 10, 2010 12:18 am

I just got massive and have been trying to design some synth sounds but the LFO parameter doesn't seem to want to respond, the wave forms in the LFO boxes light up and i get no response from any of the parameters within the LFO module. CAn any tell me how to activate the LFO? Any help is as always, greatly appreciated.

click on the little lfo boxes 5,6,7 and drop to any parameter you want to automate then hold and move your mouse up or down

If your using Synced rate, and the host DAW is not playing, you need to uncheck the pos button.
Also, as mentioned above, make sure youve actually assigned the LFO to a paramter such as pitch, cutoff etc.

The problem is that the LFO itself is not actually on, i took a screen grab to show what i mean as its tricky to explain.

Notice that the wave form in LFO parameter isn't lit up white as it should be.
THanks for all the help thus far though, it really is appreciated.

Yep. That was a graphic bug with Leopard/SL and any version of Massive before 1.1.4
Glad it's sorted.

@ew - are there any plans to enable massive to be used as just an FX unit ? That would be totally awesome -the final effects chain on massive is the bomb!

Not that I know of. Audio ins are on the feature request list, but I couldn't say whether they'll be implemented or not.
