Hide empty clip holders & scenes in SESSION view

Post by G-Pop » Tue Jun 05, 2018 8:49 pm

I know, some of you who read this will want to grab torches and pitchforks
and march en masse to my house... I'm NOT a DJ, and I just "Save As" if
I want to try different versions of the same song, and then [DELETE]
If I don't like 'em.
I love [Save As] and [Delete!]
I'm a Dinosaur. Arrangement view is like breathing.

Session view makes me nervous and since I don't do "house / Dance / techno
stuff (DJ) this is pretty useless to me. It annoys me too. Maybe some day
I'll find a way to use this FOR ME. Now it just gets in the way.

Sorry.

Is there any way to hide the empty scene / clips in the Session view?
I just want the MIXER! BIG!

You can take up a lot (or all, on some screens) of the session view area with the mixer:

1) Delete all the scenes, Live will leave you with only one scene
2) Expand / Drag the fader section up as far as it will go
3) Create 12 return tracks (the maximum) to fill up the area above the faders
4) Open the I/O section to see your routings

On a 16:9 screen this will take up the whole screen except for that one scene on top.

Thank YOU!
Yesssss! I don't mind working to a beautiful end result...
There's a compromise (1 scene) and I get 80% of what I want! More than enough!
I'm disabled and on "Disability" so I can't affort the full version until I
win a grammy! ;) I'm running "intro" so I get 16 tracks and two tracks to sidechain,
[reeturns] and they're already used for Verb/Delay. but soon!
I am 16:9

But when I'm a star, I'll go 10 suite (Sweet!) and maybe even get a push button
finger-drummer deal.

Got it! Hey I went to your "Tube" channel;

Jan Pienkowski
Likes;
"Chance Encounter" !!!
"The Kingdom of Witches!" AWESOME videos!
I've made loops of scary music and SFx from my Korg
to scare kids coming to my house for Halloween candy
for years, but nothing like your videos.

Amazing stuff on YouTube!
I'm a fan!

Thanks for checking it out, and I am very glad you like them!

However, there are two Jan Pienkowski artists you will run into on the web:

Jan Pienkowski - Music and Sound Composer, Producer, DJ, etc - that's me :)
Jan Pienkowski - Illustrator and Children's Books Author - not me, but he's an awesome artist

So,
Chance Encounter - that is me
The Kingdom of Witches - is not me (music is by Nox Arcana)

************* extra points trivia *************
to add to the confusion with our names:
- we have the same middle initial "M"
- we are born in the same city
- we are born on the same day, but years apart
