I finally recorded a song (multi track) and what i need now is a global fadeout of the tracks but..... as the song fades out another track (thunder) still remains active and continues.

The problem is:

must I manually (and imprecise) fade out all the tracks except the thunder one, or is there a simpler way to select multiple tracks and fade them?

Could you route all the tracks you want to fade to another channel and the do the fade on that one.

You could do this.

Also you can cut and paste envelopes, so do one that you like and then just cut and paste the fadeout to the remaining tracks.

Another possibility is to mix down the track minus the thunder, then make a new set with 2 tracks, the mixdown and the thunder, and do it there.

route everything you want to fade to 1 audio track and automate that track. That way you won't run into problems when your automations get in the way of mixing.
