I must be overlooking something.
The Live input choices for my MOTU 828 are all master output choices.
None of my input channels are seen, only stereo master output pairs (the 828 has 10 output channels).
Also, I know I'm not a "DJ" but I see nothing that even vaguely resembles a cross-fade feature.
Can someone please help me out here?
I thought I was getting pretty adept with this software but this new beta is a mystery to me.

TiBook 800Mhz
OSX.2
Motu 828 (brand new driver release 12/16)
Live Beta v2.02b

thanks mbazzy.
Cross fade is very cool.
Now if I could only record something...
I'll try Ableton beta email again.
I know there are other 828 users on this forum.
Is anyone else unable to see their audio input channels in the beta?

I'll check tonight, but I recall getting a selection of input sources from the 828. Did you select it as an INPUT in Ableton Preferences? It wants both and input and an output driver specified.

Thanks the8bitdeity,
I did select for both input and output but the only choices I see are output pairs 1 - 10. My inputs are not seen in preferences. They show up fine in v.1.5.2 so I don't think it is the new MOTU driver.
I think I found a bug.

I'm getting Inputs in 2.02b. In preferences I have MOTU 828 as both the input and output device. Then I select Live in on the track, then I select an input pair, or if I unlink them in the Bus I can select a single input.

Hi the8bitdeity,
Are you using the latest MOTU driver released on 12/16/02? Or the last beta?
I think it might be the new 828 driver, although it works fine in 1.5.2.
You are seeing the inputs in the dropdown window but I can only see the outputs in v.2.o2b.
I still think it is a bug between the new 828 driver and the v.2.02b beta.
thanks anyway.
Is anyone else out ther using the new driver for the 828?
Thanks.

Nope, this is using the latest driver. I downloaded the new driver, uninstalled the old one, then installed the new one. Works fine for me.

Arghhhhhhh! (bangs his head against the table) I'm so stupid!
I had the monitor through live switch off!
Arghhhh!!!!
Sorry for the needless fuss.
Everything works fine now.
I am even seeing about 2% less CPU usage when I run the demo arrangement.
Maybe now I will stay in OSX!
