I've searched the topic regarding previewing midi files with a vsti; in particular drum
midi files with a drum sampler like superior drummer. Are you telling me I can't
audition a drum midi file with a VSTI like SD? When i try, I get bass notes or some mash
of midi crapola. Help please...

It´s not possible - MIDI preview works with a tiny sine aif file called MidiPreHear.aif -
you can´t specify a VST instrument for this.

What a shame this feature is not part of Live. I was hoping Live could take over as my go to DAW but
it fell short with this limitation. Drums are one of the hardest parts of a song to compose for me and I have invested in tons of midi files. If I can't preview them while working in a DAW, there's no sense.
