My new favorite synth is finally out!

http://www.soniccharge.com/synplant

I can't believe he's only charging $89 for this.

ah, finally it's out.
I've done the betas and i can say that it's unique approach
surely rocks. Only downside for me was the bit fiddly parameter
"DNA" page. the sliders behaviour where kind of strange.....maybe they fixed it.

I love this so far. Great for making "distressed" sounding instruments, as well as "alien choir organ in a giant bucket" sounds. Also great to see a synth for people with deficient knob-twiddling skills.

I like this a lot so far, very weird.
I haven't seen it use more than 6% CPU.

edit: Yeah, I'm sold here...

I use Microtonic in almost everything, so I'm very excited about this synth...looks kick ass...and Magnus is fantastic at being a CPU miser. Sounds are very cool.

no doubt! i can't believe how low the cpu hit is. even with 10 notes held, all producing a different seed/sound, and modwheel squelching them up, i'm getting no more than 10%. puts other vstis and the ableton instruments to shame really. and the 3 weeks of use demo (rather than 3 weeks whether you use it or not) is very generous. top of the xmas list!

Yeah. It's amazing how little CPU this thing eats. Even in the beta stages this thing was also 100% stable and bug free. Microtonic and Malstrom were brilliant but this thing is a masterpiece.

Pretty effin' cheap for what this bastard can do. I'm buyin

question about its use to any beta testers or people that would know:
on the DNA page it has parameters as either green or yellow. I'm assuming this effects how much certain branches effect those particular parameters. is there anyway to reassign the colors to each parameter to control how they are affected by the branches?

Pretty unique! My cpu is liking it.

I have itchy wallet.

Thanks for the heads up Neb.

Cool interface, though I have to admit it's so different I'm having issues getting anything useable out of it so far. Definitely one that bears more exploring!

Fascinating little thing.
Nice demo deal too... not too restrictive or short.

I'll get it tonight and start checking it out.

Thanks for the info,
- zevo
