Ms Pinky VST vs. Ms Pinky M4L

Post by Rabalder » Sat Jan 23, 2010 11:16 am

Is there any difference between the Ms.Pinky VST and the "M4L-Ms.Pinky"??
Is there any way of changing the audio-file in the Ms.Pinky-M4L-version without having to use the mouse? Which I cant do with the standard VST..

Any other things that set them apart??

yeah,
the M4L patch is where its at.

check this...http://www.mspinky.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=973

Audio clips are scratchable, midi mappable and browsable. I will be getting M4L for this very reason!

fuck me this looks great! Anyone know if Ms. Pinky will work with other timecode records/CD's, or would I be forced to get the ms. Pinky ones? I already have traktor scratch records and CD's so it would be pretty convenient

Pinky does take other types of vinyl, don't recall which, can't check right now (must not upset Live 8.1.)

yeah, pinky takes Torq vinyl for sure, and in MAXI A/O it says Reflex Vinyl....however I don't know what Reflex is.

You really can't beat the vinyl the Pinky packages comes with, and that's the only way to legally get the software. With purchasing the software you get vinyls. I like the 180HQ 45RPM vinyls. They are thick and sick. You also get a Pink one.

Thanks for the help guys.

I'm a bit confused about this. You need to purchase the full Ms. Pinky software to be able to run the M4L patch, or are they totally separate?

you have to be a mspinky owner to have access to the m4l patch afaik. what i want to know is can i do the equivalent of 'runtime' the patch so i don't have to buy m4l, i don't want/have the ability to make toys just want to play with them. just reading http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=133555 seems there might be a semi-viable workaround, need to read more.
