Re: MIDI to from M4L to specific Live tracks
Thanks Clydesdale for the simple illustrative example. That's close to what I'm after, but midi still isn't actually coming into the track. Therefore, I can't record a clip from the incoming midi. I'm wanting to use one channel as a master midi input that can define when & how midi is sent to ot...

MIDI to from M4L to specific Live tracks
If I have an M4L patch on one channel, how can I send different MIDI data to different Live tracks/instruments? If, for example, the Max patch is generating a bass line and some chords, how can I get that to different Live instruments? Some VST's can create a "virtual midi port" that can t...

Re: non vendor-specific software similar to automap?
User remote scripts did the trick! Thanks. Now, to expand the scope of my original question... I want one simple thing. I want my sustain pedal to automagically map to the "multi purpose transport button" of the Looper, should there be one on the channel. Is this where I'd need to break ou...

Re: Program change and control change
So from MPK or otherwise, is there STILL (I've been out of the loop for a couple of years) no way to change Live (non-plugin) synth patches from program control messages??
I'm not seeing any "Ableton patch bank manager"-type function...

Re: non vendor-specific software similar to automap?
I am looking for a number of things. Two, to start, are integrating my Axiom 49 and Uc-16. I want the fader bank of my axiom to be dynamically mapped to the first 8 channels in live (similar to automap control surfaces). I do that with midi mapping easily enough, but my mappings break when I add new...

non vendor-specific software similar to automap?
I don't use novation hardware and I would like to be able to map hardware to Live similarly to the way automap does. Are there any programs like that out there? Perhaps in Max?

scale clip tempos to lock to master grid [math help]
I made a cool percussion loop, thought I locked it to the master grid, then jammed out a few layered tracks over it. Then went to chop them up and realized that the main loop was off. Algebra was a long time ago. I need some math help... The sequence is currently at 60bpm. The main loop was 92.76 bp...

This bug just bit me. I want to be able to select and arm a track with the same button. There's no way this isn't a bug. Arm exclusive works when assigned to computer kbd buttons. Then I try to do it via midi and exclusive no longer behaves. Then computer kbd exclusive is broken afterwards. :P pleas...

I've been wishing for a midi control to "delete clip"... can LiveAPI do this? Didn't see it in the API, but likely overlooked it...

You can check out what I threw together here: http://thegreenuniverse.com/gm/autolooper.zip I've been playing with it for a couple days and it works pretty well. What it allows you to do is hold down a midi button for the period of time you wish to record, and release it to begin playback. Repeating...
