Re: Am I going mad? - Utility

I've always just grouped 2 utilities together and mapped both Gain controls to the same Macro if I need automatable volume control. That should completely silence it and if not throw a gate after to catch anythin else?

Re: Massive Macros Explained Please?

So you can map a midi knob to the macro knob in Massive and the whole range of motion would only change the dedicated parameter a smaller amount. Also, more than one parameter can be attached to one macro, so twisting one knob makes the sound change in various ways to make automation/live tweaking b...

Re: Arturia 3 for 1. Which instruments to pick?

Even if the plugs crash Live is there any reason against downloading, for example, Renoise and rewiring that in as a plugin host?

Re: Arturia 3 for 1. Which instruments to pick?

Maybe it's me being really dense but is that site offering that you pay $199.00 and get to try the 8 instruments for 15 days and then pick three of them to keep?

Because if so that's a ridiculously good deal.

Looks like a monome 64. Possibly the grayscale version.

Re: Do the buttons on the Launchpad sustain notes?

After reading through the documentation once or twice then it is absolutely fine for me.

Some of the modes I don't use so they're a mystery but the others are absolutely fine.

Re: :!: Own a Launchpad? Get LPC-Live !!! The missing link.

I did do the quick reinstall and I got monoseq so you must have to.

One "problem" that I had with it is that to get back to the Main Seq page, hit the current edit button on the right again to do so.

Re: How do you record hardware synths?

What I've set up at the moment for an MS2000 is an audio track receiving the correct input via the IO options set to monitor In. To control this I have the MS2000 midi track as well as a launchpad midi track set up next to it. Record a clip into those either way (I've been using nativekontrols LPC-L...

Re: FX loop in Ableton - having Live audio fx b4 my external fx?

If you have Live 8 and a soundcard with enough inputs and outputs then yes you can do this. Say you run the guitar into some of your pedals, into the audio interface, through effects, then add an "External Instrument" device which you route to an unused output, to some of the other pedals ...

Re: How to bounce a midi clip to audio?

You could always set a dedicated Resampling channel by setting the input to resampling.

This means you could arm that channel and it'll record the DAW mix, soloing the wanted channel would record that one alone.

Re: 2step/Garage Patterns...Groove tips?

If you don't want to swing some parts then just...don't?

Either highlighting the hat notes and applying a groove or separating those midi notes into a new clip and applying a groove to that is the way to do this(the highlighting and applying method is one I'm not really sure about but give it a go).

Re: Consolidating unwarped clips results in a warped clip

It has been mentioned that naming scenes 94 BPM would help with the tempo changes but you are working in arrangement view and as such that's useless. So why not use the locators in arrange view to make these changes? I'm sure that you can name these locators 94 BPM and it will act the same way the s...

Re: Mixing Dilemma

I think the best way would be to lower the offending track. If that results in you not being able to hear it well enough then lowering every track by a small amount will drop the master volume to below 0db whilst retaining the definition between the sounds that you've already mixed.
