It's not very clear from the beta tech specs and videos.. but I'm curious to know if when a MIDI/DRUMTRACK is created from a REX file if it's broken into individual "Simpler" instances or setup as one "Sampler" instance. Perhaps there is an option? I can see wanting "Sampler" for break beat work ...

Yeah, I've used various workarounds. But, using BPM allows for synced control when temp changes occur

I agree, although I don't see why they wouldn't include that kind of functionality considering they have filter delays and such. I find it a very useful tool for music production and just strikes me as a feature Ableton would be all over!

I'd also like to see BPM pre-delay values for the reverb ...

Unless I'm missing something, there should be a way to set a pre-delay amount in MS or BPM with Live's included delay plugins. The Ohmboyz delays have this feature as do many others. Thoughts?

I've had no problems with the most recent TI drivers. (but where are my 3 stereo pair returns!)

A) You don't have to upgrade

In Cubase SX 3+ there is External Instrument support similar to the announced Live 7 support. Not having played with the beta myself I'm curious, Can you pre-define your "External Instruments" in preferences so that you just have to pull them up as a single block or do you have to and an ext ...

The Korg rep from NAMM said US $2000, so I'd imagine street to be about $1800/$1900 or so..

I want to see/feel one of these first hand - I don't think of Korg as makers of "HANDS-ON-BUILD-WELL" products. Time will tell!

Korg tends to hit lower price points with their more recent stuff. I'd say $1400 US street. No doubt won't be as solid as an Allen-Heath unit but hopefully good none the less!

I don't remember where this stat is from exactly but I read an article a while back about a large group of 16-24 yr olds who when asked 80% thought that in their lifetime they're be famous.

could you imagine a concert with 80 people on stage and 20 in the audience!

If Logic's audio editing engine and MIDI piano rolll editor was updated I'd most likely switch. Unfortunately Logic just is not as flexible in these areas for the way I work. I know many Logic users who use it with no complaints.. It all depends on the user :)

If I'm using LIVE from beginning to end than I'll create sounds with various hardware and software but then bounce to audio. Leaving the mix and creative/live stage to just the LIVE included effects/instruemtns. This leaves me the option of opening the project on various computers with no issues ...
