Has there been any official word on this?

I remember reading about another scaling solution though... rendering everything at a higher resolution or something, which causes the vector graphics to look good?

Retina Macbooks came out 18 months ago. That's a long time in the tech world. And it's far from a niche product - Ableton use Macs in all their promotional material, so feeling entitled to this baffingly easy-to-implement update is not strange at all.

Their official answer is kinda insulting... "because the GUI is made from vector graphics, technically Live is already optimized for Retina" - you just have to choose a ridiculous resolution which makes your cursor tiny and everything else uncomfortably small... not really an option. Or ha...

I find this really weird. Surely lots of people at Ableton use retina macs. How can this take more than one day of programming? Is such a thing even possible? Yes it is.

It's a fantastic piece of gear, but feels half-baked as it is now. The sensitivity feels off... you really have to slam the buttons to reach the upper midi signals. The browsing is baffling. Am I retarded or is it impossible to find your own instruments made with sampler? I realize there's a workaro...
