Rendering Individual Tracks Never Works
Live 11.2.7 Windows 10 Pro i9-9900K processor 32GB memory So I've worked with Live since it first came out, but I've really only used it before for specific tasks and live performances. Since the end of the year I've been trying to move away from Pro Tools and work exclusively in Live. So far in Liv...

Plugin Processing/Recording Clips in Arrangement
When you record clips into the arrangement, do the settings you have on the clip copy into the arrangement file itself? So let's say I've recorded some guitar into two different clips in session view and then I pan one track left and the other right, - if I then record those two clips into arrangeme...

MP3 Tags
I guess there is no way to create MP3 tags when rendering in Live? Is this functionality something we can expect soon? I've been using Pro Tools for years but I prefer Live when I'm writing or doing solo work. MP3 tagging seems like a very basic feature if you actually publish your work regularly. I...

Bowie Heroes EMS Synthi AKS Sound
Hello: First, thanks in advance for any responses. I'm trying to recreate as best I can the "chattering" kind of train type sound (don't know how else to describe it) Brian Eno got on David Bowie's Heroes. I know they used an EMS Synthi AKS and I know there's a Synthi AKS pack for Live and...

Identify Individual Notes in an Audio Sample
Searched this question but didn't find anything that wasn't ten years old. Is there a Live tool or third party plugin that can accurately identify the individual notes being played in an audio sample? I'm not talking about finding the key of a song or the root note of a chord but rather the actual i...

Re: Using the Same Plugin More Than Once in a Instrument Rack
Thanks for the response. I rebooted and tried again and I at first I was getting some weird results, but now for some reason it seems to be working OK. At one point I couldn't get any sound at all from that particular emulation so maybe it was an issue with Arturia. I have 32GB of memory, SD hard dr...

Using the Same Plugin More Than Once in a Instrument Rack
I'm trying to use the same instrument plugin in an instrument rack but with different settings. So let's say I'm want to layer an Arturia Stage-73 V. I put the Stage-73 in the instrument rack more than once and I want each one to have different settings within each individual Stage-73. The problem I...

Re: Spliting Stereo Into Mono
Thanks guys. Seems odd Live can't do this, but I can use your suggestions as workarounds.

Spliting Stereo Into Mono
Can Live 9 split a stereo track into mono? I'm mean REALLY split the two channels into separate tracks? I've seen a forum posting about using Utility to pan the channels, but I'm talking about actually creating two separate audio tracks, one from the left channel and one from the right. I can do it ...

Optimal Desktop PC System for Live 8?
Sorry if I missed the answer to this somewhere else. Does Ableton have a recommended "optimal" desktop PC system configuration for Live 8? While I'm sure bigger and faster are generally better, I thought maybe there might be actual specific recommendations. In other words, if I could creat...

Re: Vintage Vox or Gibson Plugins?
Thanks for the responses. I've looked quite a bit and I'm surprised I haven't found more, - or even collections of 60's keyboards. - I'll be sure to check out the B4 II.

Vintage Vox or Gibson Plugins?
I'm looking for a vst plugin that can duplicate the sound of a vintage Vox Continental and/or a Gibson Kalamazoo like The Doors' Ray Manzarek used back in the day. I've looked around and found a couple of things, but was wondering if anyone had any suggestions.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Moving the Drum Rack Pad Overview With MIDI
Is there any way to map the drum rack pad overview up/down to a MIDI control? When I click on the MIDI map mode switch with a drum rack displayed the pad overview is not blue (not selectable). I'd like to be able to use a knob or slider to move the pad view selector rather than using the keyboard up...
